How can you take advantage of your monthly "appointment" with your customers and members?
Customers view their monthly statements and bills for an average of three minutes -- about four times as long as the attention given to a television advertisement or an e-mail solicitation. In a new video just released, Brad Banyas from OMI discusses how these three minutes represent a unique opportunity to expand and extend the value of each monthly "appointment" with your customers and members.

"Statistics show that people commonly view a transaction document like a bill or a statement for at least three minutes," says Banyas. "So the idea behind our Statement2Web platform is to take advantage of that particular three minutes each month by presenting additional marketing messages around the viewing of that statement."

Banyas feels that the time has come for companies to eliminate paper and leverage the value of online correspondence. "We help folks move paper-bound processes to the web with Statement2Web. There is great value in terms of eliminating the cost and inefficiencies of paper, but having the ability to tightly focus and target marketing messages, and take advantage of that three minutes customers view that statement online each month, is something that is much more difficult, if not impossible, to do using traditional print and mail."

Indeed, the idea of using monthly bills and statements as transpromotional marketing tools has the business world buzzing with the possibilities. OMI is a leader in the field and in this new video Banyas explains how Statement2Web builds the business intelligence needed behind successful "transpromo" strategies.

"By managing and controlling online statements and invoices we have the ability to extract certain key pieces of data around those transactions," explains Banyas. "This in turn provides our customers with the ability to offer more relevant marketing or product information back to the end customer. We put it all together -- leveraging those monthly transactions, extracting business intelligence, and offering more value back to your customers and members."
