Statement2webE-Signatures - Join the Paperless Revolution

How do you collect signatures from your customers, members and clients on important documents? Do you print them, fax them, e-mail them, or send them via snail mail? If you are still shuffling paper simply in order to obtain signatures, you may be able to save a lot of time and money, and significantly improve your paper-bound processes by using electronic signatures.

E-signature adoption is picking up steam. Indeed, electronic signatures have been legally binding since the Federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (E-SIGN) Act was signed in the U.S. in 2000. And similar laws have been passed in every state, as well as in the European Union.

In the past, companies were slow to give their agents and customers an e-signature option. The common worry was that it may not be as good as having a hard copy. But the truth is that in this increasingly digitized business environment companies that fail to adopt e-signatures find that they are severely limiting the value of any electronic processing of new business or service requests.

If you don't have a strategy to implement e-signature capabilities now is the time to plan for the shift. The benefits of e-signatures are simply too compelling to ignore. Here are just a few:

  •  Reduce Process Time - If you are waiting until you have a signed agreement to commence work, you can be waiting days or even weeks to get started. Electronic signatures are not only faster and easier for your clients, but they also benefit your business as well.
  •  Save Money - Since you are no longer printing and mailing a document to obtain a signature you can save on paper, postage and processing. Plus, it's better for the environment!
  •  Everyone Gets a Copy - Once the agreement is signed all parties automatically receive a digital copy. This makes it much easier for both you and your customers to file, find and refer to the digital copy at a later time.
  •  Paperless Archive - Many electronic signature services include an archiving functionality that gives you a convenient paperless archive with all of your signed documents in one place.
  •  Increased Security - Electronic signatures used advanced digital encryption. The result is that it's much harder for users to fake their identity and much easier for you to uncover suspicious or non-compliant records.

Adopting e-signature technology will allow you to develop more efficient, more secure, and less costly workflow while providing your customer with a convenient and easy to use system to sign.
